Acid Dye

The Acid Dye is an anionic dye characterized by substantiality for protein and polyamide fibers and usually applied from an acidic or neutral dye bath. Any of a class of dyes containing one or more acidic groups, as the sulfo group: used in acid solution chiefly for dyeing wool and silk.
