Amadis Sleeve

The Amadis sleeve is a tight-fitting sleeve continuing on the back of the hand. A close-fitting sleeve, often with a pleated, slightly puffed shoulder, that ends in a tight, buttoned cuff at the wrist. Invented in 1684 by Mile Le Rochois, an actress at the opera, who had unsightly arms.
