Mother of Pearl

Mother-of-Pearl is a smooth shining iridescent substance forming the inner layer of the shell of some mollusks, especially oysters and abalones, used in very luxury ornamentation. It was introduced in the market during late XV century, and was principally involved just by kings, clergy and nobility in general.
