Muslin

Muslin is an inexpensive, medium weight, plain weave, low count (less than 160 threads per square inch) cotton sheeting fabric. Due to its unfinished form and non-fray attitude, in fashion design and pattern-making is commonly used to make prototypes and trial garments for preliminary fit on models.
