Plaited Fabric
Plaited Fabric is a narrow fabric made by crossing a number of sturdy yarns diagonally, so each strand passes alternatively over or under one or more of the other stands. In many cases, one yarn color appears on the face of the fabric, and the other one appears on the back. A special version of this knit fabric is created by alternating a series of knit and purl stitches. Typically used in shoe laces and suspenders.
